Who are these dogs anyway?!?

Each Bully Bar is named after an ACCT Alum, most of which were part of the Pen Pal Program at ACCT Philly. The Pen Pal Program pairs a volunteer with a special dog. They will work on basic obedience, take the dogs in field trips, to adoption events- basically doing everything possible to reduce the stress of the dog and keep them adoptable. The human pen pal is also responsible for the promotion of the dog. That means each Pen Pal gets their very own PR person! This program has saved HUNDREDS of dogs since 2009.

Now, to the dogs.

Stella. First pen pal and absolute delight. Stella spent EXACTLY 90 days in the shelter when she met her new family. She is now living the good life and her family loves her very much. She even gets to go to the beach!

Madelyn is a lovely brindle momma that came to the shelter because her family could no longer afford her care. While at the shelter, she attended group walks, events and was treated to SEVERAL cheeseburgers and treats. Her pen pals worked with her and knew she was very special. One day while at an adoption event, a family was taking a walk through the park when they spotted our girl. It was love at first sight! We could not get back to the shelter fast enough and now Madelyn is enjoying the good life.
